Global Threat is one of the few links 90's punk has to the late 70's and early 80's punk. Nowadays, most new punk bands a whiners, crying about their girlfriends dumping them because they drink too much, but Global Threat reminds us of the old school.
The rage against society and the government, it is an attack on OC life. Global Threat meshes melody with thrash. The hard guitars ignite your energy, giving you the instant desire to smash something, while the grinding lyrics strike out against the constraints of society.
With their new album imminent in July, Global Threat is emerging as a leading punk band among punks who remember the days when punk was an underground movement, instead of a fasion show.
Highlights of this album include 'Live for Now' and 'The Power'. If you see me screaming on the highway with the volume blasting, it is most likely this album. My God I looked everywhere for it, and I could never find it, but I finally got it not on amazon, though. From the loud, cracking, jumpy sound of the snare drum to the smart, politically charged lyrics, to the biting guitar riffs, you can't deny AGT's raw aggression and power.
Really fuckin good. Lots and lots of street hardcore punk rock which is good for the cultural purist. The second disc was the most diverse and a bit better depending on your mood. Its punk rock all the way.
You seriously cannot go wrong with this many songs. Boston has a really really really fuckign tight scene. There are a few shitty songs but seriously, who gives a fuck?

However -. I thank you for drawing my attention to it and I will add it to the footnotes. Yeah — there will be an update. Another copy was sold for dollars I heard this spring. Thanks for the update. What about the Skatepark sleeve by the way. Later this week it will be updated as prices on Necros, Judge and the Fix has been adjusted…. Yeah — I heard about a guy that saw the fix in for 50 bucks as thougth it was outrangous! I have such a long list myself of stories like that so I hoping for amnesia!!
Pingback: Anarchy is Expensive!! Thanx Monica. There was an error. I have corrected that. Necros is number one…. I am not a record collector, just a fan. However, I have kept them in very good to excellent condition and was curious how I might sell some of them. I would you get some help to grade the record. Browse for goldmine record grading.
After that you can sell it on discogs or ebay or similar. Great EP. A NM would be possible above 1, bucks. Last ebay auction was in were one copy went for and another for 1, Right, I saw the price on TK on discogs. We are a little conservative here. I beleive that both the low bids on TK and Fix is for something that was put on the wrong release. It happends of and then. It was for sure a re-press. Wish some Boston stuff made it, but oh well.
Misfits should make it to the lsit. Misfits got excluded from the list of no real reason. Here is a recent Swedish record sold on Discogs you may find interesting. Here you can find the most rare Swedish punk records. That was a copy in very very good condition.
